The popular online news portal of the country, BD24Live, celebrated its 15th anniversary amidst colorful arrangements and a festive atmosphere. Having commenced its journey on May 14, 2011, the news outlet proudly completed 15 years and stepped into its 16th.
To mark the anniversary, BD24Live’s office hosted a cake-cutting ceremony, exchange of greetings, a discussion meeting, and joyful events. Journalists, officials, employees, well-wishers, and invited guests of the organization participated in these programs.
Speakers at the event stated that over the past 15 years, BD24Live has earned the trust of its readers through objective, courageous, and responsible journalism. The news outlet has gained special recognition for promptly delivering accurate news and highlighting issues of public interest with significant importance.
Amirul Islam Asad, Editor-in-Chief of BD24Live, said, “Throughout this 15-year journey, the love, trust, and cooperation of our readers have been our greatest inspiration. By upholding the ideals of truth, justice, and objective journalism, BD24Live has today established itself as a credible name in the country’s online media. Dr. Md. Ashrafur Rahman, Additional IGP of Bangladesh Police, was present as the chief guest. Wishing BD24Live continued success, he stated, “Objective and responsible journalism is extremely important for a nation. BD24Live has been delivering news with courage and professionalism for a long time. I believe that the organization will continue to advance by standing for truth and public interest in the future.”
News Editor Saju Ahmed remarked, “Over the past 15 years, BD24Live has not only delivered news but has also highlighted people’s hopes, aspirations, problems, and potential. In this era of technology-driven modern journalism, we are constantly working to deliver fast and accurate information to our readers. Our goal is to maintain the continuity of responsible and objective journalism in the future.”

During the discussion session, speakers highlighted BD24Live’s contribution to the development of online journalism in the country. The importance of responsible journalism in this age of rumors and misinformation was also discussed. Also present at the event were Md.
